Kokonaistyöajan piiriin kuuluu koko opetus- ja tutkimushenkilöstö lukuun ottamatta yliopistoon työsuhteessa olevia perustutkintoa suorittavia opiskelijoita (esim. tutkimusavustajina tai opetusavustajina toimivia).

Opetus- ja tutkimushenkilöstön vuosittainen työaika on 1600 tuntia. Jokainen kokonaistyöajan piiriin kuuluva henkilö laatii yhteistyössä esimiehensä kanssa lukuvuosittain opetussuunnitelmaprosessin rinnalla 30.6. mennessä työsuunnitelman, jossa yksilöidään vuoden työtehtävät.

All research and teaching staff belong to the total working time system with the exception of those employees who are still working towards their basic degrees (research assistants, teaching assistants etc.).

The annual amount of working time for research and teaching staff is 1 600 hours. Each employee who belongs to the system prepares a work plan with his/her supervisor. This plan is a detailed description of the employee's work tasks over the coming academic year. The plan is made concurrently with the curriculum planning process each academic year and must be finished by 30 June.
