TENURE TRACK POSITIONS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF OULU, FINLAND

The University of Oulu in Northern Finland is an international, multidisciplinary research university with a rich pool of creative and intellectual talent. GUIDELINES FOR THE TENURE TRACK PROCESSES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF OULU (APPENDIX)

We invite applications to tenure track - positions at assistant professor, associate professor and full professor levels. Assistant and associate professorships have been established to promote the careers of junior scientists. The initial appointment is for three or five years, respectively, with the possibility of renewal for an additional period and promotion of an assistant professor to an associate professor and an associate professor to a permanent position as an associate or full professor. The full professorships are permanent with a possibility for a promotion to a distinguished professor position. The applicants should have internationally recognized expertise in their field and pursue research at the forefront of science. In addition to carrying out high-level research, they are also expected to supervise Ph.D. students and teach both undergraduate level courses and graduate level courses (in Finnish or English).
